ORDINATION TO THE ORDER OF THE PRIESTHOOD Through the laying on of hands and the invocation of the Holy Spirit, the Most Reverend Terry R. LaValley, Bishop of Ogdensburg, will Ordain to the Order of Priesthood Deacon Carter Gabriel Pierce and Deacon Douglas Alexander Schirmer. You are cordially invited to join in the Ordination Liturgy on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at 11:00am at St. Mary’s Cathedral. Connected to ancient Mystery Plays, the IHC Mystery Players bring the stations of the Cross to the modern level through the use of special lighting, music, pantomime, and paraliturgical readings. Using the sanctuary of the church as a stage, the Paschal Mystery is recreated in a moving, dramatic presentation. Please be advised that small children may be frightened due to the nature of the play.

The gathering for 11th and 12th grade is canceled this evening due to the snow. Be safe!

Lenten devotional aids are at the Church entryways. Please help yourself! During Lent, Mass is offered at 8 am on Saturdays at Notre Dame Church, and Stations of the Cross at 7 pm at St. Mary's Cathedral each Friday. New this year, a Parish recitation of the Rosary at 6pm at Notre Dame Church each Thursday. Come join us!

Please note that our office hours have changed. The Parish Office is open Monday through Thursday from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm. In the event of a holiday on Monday, we will be open that Friday.

Our Parish is so happy to announce that we will are offering Adoration in the Deacon Winter Chapel (St. Mary's Cathedral) every Wednesday from 3 - 6 pm. Please sign in as you enter the Chapel (Use the Greene Street Entry.) Come spend time with our Eucharistic Lord!

Thursday, before the First Friday of the month, join us for a Holy Hour for Vocations in the Cathedral's Deacon Winter Chapel (Greene St. Entryway) from 7 - 8 pm. First Saturday devotions, including Communion, are at Notre Dame Church at 8 a.m.

Bishop Terry LaValley authorized the filing of a Chapter 11 reorganization for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Ogdensburg. This difficult and painful yet necessary decision was made in response to the lawsuits filed against the diocese under the Child Victims Act. The Vocations Committee of Saint Mary's Cathedral, Saint Raphael and Saints Philip and James are pleased to share the Easter 2023 Vocations Newsletter. The newsletter focuses on the ministry and vocation of four laity in our parishes.

February 16th marks the official Anniversary of the founding of the Diocese of Ogdensburg! The capstone of our rejoicing will be Vespers on August 9th and an Anniversary Mass on August 10, the Feast of St. Lawrence here at Saint Mary's Cathedral. In the meantime we'll keep you posted about other planned events as they occur. This year also marks the 70th Anniversary of the Cathedral and the 50th Anniversary of Camp Guggenheim. We say "Cake and Balloons are in order!"
