For our homebound and those who are in nursing homes, in particular the staff and residents at St.Jpseph's Nursing Home in Ogdemsburg. For those who are recuperating from surgery or other procedures. For those who care for the sick, all those who are suffering from cancer, all our military and their families, and all those seeking prayer through the Rosebud and Gabriel projects.
We all live "in the moment", so here's a suggestion. Ask immediately, "Would you like me to pray with you?" You will ALWAYS get a 'yes!' So what do you do next? Most of us are not skilled at extemporanious prayer. But there is an easier and extemely powerful way to make that prayer on the spot. It takes about a minute.
Take a moment right now and click this [LINK]. Barbara Alderfer, author of the book, "Stop, Drop, and Pray", will teach you this amazing method. You already know the prayer.
In a note giving permission to link to the SDP website, Mrs. Alderfer wrote, "There is so much going on when we pray the Lord's Prayer! What happens when we pray that prayer with confidence and faith, is the unleashing of the full power of God! We are so overwhelmed with everything and, as God does, He gives us a simple solution. Jesus gave us the perfect prayer. The Blessed Mother taught us to surrender our lives to God. SDP gives us a simple way to live a powerful, God-centered life with surrender and prayer.
SDP developed over years of praying with people for physical healing. SDP is the 'method' God offered to build faith and enable all His people to live their lives focused on Him. It also enables everyone (not just special people) to pray with each other! This is evangelization! We are reaching out to pour the power of God on a person or circumstance...a touch of God! We are ALL called to do this! It is exciting to see how something so simple is so life-changing!"
The Traditional Catholic Rosary features the recitation of the Joyful, Sorrowful, and Glorious Mysteries of the traditional fifteen-decade Rosary. The prayers are accompanied by images of sacred art from many of the great masters as well as a lush, yet subtle, orchestral soundtrack.
